Kevin Kuettel, M.D.

Dr. Kuettel is a gastroenterologist who treats all problems of the GI tract, including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic abdominal pain. He is current in Internal Medicine, Men’s Health and fluent in Spanish. Dr. Kuettel has advanced training in anorectal disease including performing highly effective therapies for hemorrhoidal disease. In addition, he is responsible for the small bowel program at AGMG having interpreted thousands of video capsule endoscopies.

A Southern California native, Dr. Kuettel attended the University of Southern California on a Resident Honors program and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. After medical school, he did his internship and residency at the New York Medical College hospitals. Next he attended Western Pennsylvania Hospital for his fellowship in gastroenterology with rotations in liver transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He returned to Southern California where he has been practicing since 1990, and at AGMG since 2002. He is a resident of Long Beach and enjoys snow skiing and golf.
